It’s not too late to contribute to the Presbyterian Church USA’s “Peace and Global Witness Offering.” Each congregation is asked to designate 25% of the offering, to go to a particular effort to promote “health, wholeness, and harmony” (the biblical definition of “peace”). This year our 25% will go to HOPE Domestic Violence services, which has an office in Paris (in addition to its “home base” in Charleston). Special envelopes are on the table at the back of the Sanctuary, or you may use any envelope marked “Peace Offering.”

Faith in Action will hold its annual Drive-Thru Spaghetti Supper at Lake Ridge Christian Church Friday, October 13 from 4-6:30 p.m. The price is a donation of your choice.

COOKIES, COOKIES, COOKIES!
Faith in Action needs 6 dozen cookies and/or brownies from Paris Presbyterian for their Drive-Through Supper.
Will you help? If yes, please bring two large cookies or three small cookies, or one large brownie, wrapped in airtight bags. Drop off locations and dates are at the FIA Office on 239 W. Wood Street on Thursday, October 12 or at Lake Ridge on Friday, Oct 13 after 1 p.m. For more information please call Faith in Action at 217-466-6388.
The Compassionate Clothing Closet’s annual blanket drive is taking place during October. Your generosity of a new or gently-used blanket will serve to provide a means to offset winter’s chill. Blankets can be brought here to the church, or taken directly to the CCC, 211 N. Central St. on Mondays from 10 to 1 or Tuesdays from Noon to 2.
