We will not be able to gather for our usual Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service, which includes communion when we come to “the Last Supper” part of the story. The Presbyterian Church USA has issued an advisory opinion, however, stating that while in ordinary circumstances communion can only be part of a worship service where we gather together, in these extraordinary times it can be part of an online service. So a shortened Maundy Thursday service will be posted to our Facebook page, and when the communion part comes, please feel free to have your own bread and juice or wine on hand, to take part in communion in your home.
